On the 19th January 2024, the Honorable Ministry of Educations and Training, Prof. Ntoi Rapapa launched the Lesotho Schools Early Detection and Treatment of Drugs Programme. The programme is an initiative of Heal Our Land Organization (HOLO), implemented in collaboration with Rebohealth Addiction Treatment Clinic and Lab24 Medical Laboratories.
The Programme is a nationwide, voluntary and partially subsidized initiative aimed at helping in the early detection and treatment of drugs and other related substance in learners from primary to tertiary.
The subsidized covers: 90% of clinical consultations, 90% of Laboratory tests and 74% of admission fee and treatment.
The Programme involves learners, their schools and parents/guardians. It has two phases: namely (1) Detection Phase and (2) Treatment Phase.
